We stayed here for 1 night only because we reached Bikaner at night and had trouble finding a hotel- this one is right in front of the Junagarh Fort (and that is the only positive thing about it)! The room was barely clean, linen stained, corridors smelly and just not worth it. And it's not like the place is super cheap- we have stayed in less expensive places that have been cleaner. Only after we checked in and left for dinner, we realized that had we driven around for 5 more minutes, we would have found a better place. One of the boys at the front desk told us that this had just been bought by a new owner who also has another good property in Bikaner- hopefully he will clean up the mess that is Metro Palace

visited last week,stayed there for 2 days, enjoyed the stay,this is the mid range economical Hotels,with neat & clean rooms, Hotel is located in the Heart of the City, just opposite of Junagadh Palace, which is central of Attraction,strongly recommended for street food lovers as during evening time all type of food is available by few walking steps.

Don't even think to stay at Metro Palace

As subjected please don't even think to stay at metro palace. Property is not maintained at all.. if you are travelling in winters you would get hot water for a limited time in the morning. Rooms are messy, linen are in very bad condition, furniture is very old and response time is high for any service.

It becomes really ironic when the best feature of the hotel is just it's location. Hotel Metro is a classic example of this. Though charges are around 1300 to 1500 INR, yet room quality is like a guest house. I would rather prefer to shell out another 1000 bucks and be satisfied that I got value for money rather than wasting on such unhygienic and pathetic hotels. Period.

We decided to visit Bikaner on a short notice and I could not pre-book rooms online. When we reached Bikaner, we were too tired to look for other hotels and decided to stay in this so called hotel because it was located just near the fort. We realized our mistake the moment we entered the room. The windows were made of glass and were not airtight, so we could feel the cold breeze coming in through the fissures. The rooms were not mush clean and the furniture was shabby. The entire hotel smelled of ready to eat masala. The food was okay but not worth the money. No hot water in the winter evenings, poor service and the receptionist had a bad attitude. Will ONLY go back if they PAY ME to stay. :)
